Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Resort Review ("we", "us") handles personal data on resort-review.com. We publish casino resort reviews of licensed hotel-casinos in the United Kingdom. We are not a gambling operator, hotel, or booking engine. We do not create casino accounts and we do not process wagers. This notice is written for readers in the United Kingdom and is intended to meet the transparency duties in UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Last updated: 16 October 2026. If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date and, where the law requires it, ask for a fresh consent.

Fourteen points on your data

  1. Controller. The controller for personal data submitted through this website is Resort Review, reachable at [email protected]. We decide why form messages are stored and how long they are kept. Hosting providers act as processors under our instructions and may not use your message for their own marketing.
  2. What we collect from forms. Contact and offer enquiry forms ask for your name, email address, a topic or hotel choice, a message, and a consent tick. We do not ask for passport numbers, payment cards, or casino membership IDs. Do not send those details in the message box.
  3. What devices send automatically. The web server may log an IP address, browser type, date, and the page requested. These logs exist to keep the site working, to find faults, and to resist abuse. We do not use them to build a marketing profile of you.
  4. Cookies and local storage. A cookie consent choice is stored in localStorage under the key cookie_consent after you press Accept. That value stays on your device. We do not need that key to identify you as a person. See the Cookie Policy for the full cookie list.
  5. Lawful bases. We rely on consent for the optional storage of cookie_consent and for sending a form when you tick the box. We rely on legitimate interests for server logs that protect the site. We rely on a legal obligation if a regulator or court requires us to keep a record.
  6. Why we use the data. Form data is used only to reply to you, to correct a listing, or to handle a press request. We do not sell lists. We do not add you to a casino operator's database. We do not score you for credit.
  7. Who we share with. We may share a message with a hosting or email delivery provider that stores or transmits it. We do not share form contents with Genting, Grosvenor, Marriott, Millennium, Travelodge, or Booking.com unless you ask us in writing to pass a correction to a named hotel.
  8. International transfers. If a host stores data outside the United Kingdom, we will look for an adequacy regulation or standard contractual clauses. This informational site is small. We prefer United Kingdom or EEA hosting where we can obtain it.
  9. Retention. Enquiry messages are kept for up to twenty-four months after the last reply, then deleted or anonymised, unless a dispute needs a longer file. Server logs are rotated on the host's normal cycle, typically under ninety days.
  10. Your rights. You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, or objection, and you may withdraw consent for cookies by clearing localStorage or writing to us. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Rights are not absolute. We will explain if an exemption applies.
  11. Children. Casino play in Great Britain is for adults. This website is not aimed at anyone under 18. If we learn that a child has sent a form, we will delete the message.
  12. Security. We use HTTPS where the host provides a certificate. No website is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords, card numbers, or scans of identity documents through the contact form.
  13. Outbound links. Listings link to hotels, casinos, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, and the Gambling Commission. Those sites have their own privacy notices. Once you leave resort-review.com, their rules apply. We are not the controller for their cookies or accounts.
  14. Contact for privacy requests. Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". Tell us which email you used on a form so we can find the record. We will answer within one month, or explain if we need more time as UK GDPR allows.
